Tombsones of “Studenica style” are often depicting portraits or whole human figures, along with geometrical ornaments. They are common in the Raška region and south-western Serbia, and most of them originate from the period between 16th and 18th century.
Studenica is on of the most beautiful and most respectable Medieval Serbian monasteries, built in 12th century by grand prince Stefan Nemanja. Main church was built under Byzantine and Romanesque artistic traditions. It is famous for beautiful frescoes inside and marble carvings on the facade
